The original Mekong River Catfish stock of the lake was completely unknown but we have stocked over the winter of 2016 with over a ton of quality fish to 50lb, and another 40 big fishes added in the winter of 2018. Previously the lake was used for duck farm and had never been used as a fish fishery. Anglers over the past few seasons have produced some stunning catches. The lake holds Mirrors to over 58lbs, Commons to over 64lbs, Shutchi catfish to over 48lbs and CRAZY Yellowtail catfish to over 80 lbs !
DAY 1: Arrival and Orientation
Once everyone arrives at the lake around 9h00 AM, Our guides will give you an overview of the map of the lake and talk about the main fishing locations we’ll visit.
Later on, you can try your hand at casting a line, while the instructors are demonstrating some basic angling techniques.
After all the instructions are made clear, we’ll start for practice. You’ll sling a hook for your first catch of the day among the natural beauty of the Mekong Delta under a vivid sunlight.
Today, we’ll have lunch at the local restaurant and head out to good fishing part of lake as soon as we can. We’ll make the most of every morning and early midday because that’s when the sun warms up the lake shallows, and the fish move closer to the shore to feed.
the guide will demonstrate some more angling techniques, help the beginners to get confident with the rod and share insider tips with the advanced anglers.
Your efforts are likely to be truly rewarding, as the local lake have pure cold waters with high oxygen levels, resulting in plentiful fish populations. To make your trip as delightful as possible, our instructors will try to ensure that you catch any fish species that you are particularly interested in.
In the evening we’ll enjoy a dinner, before heading out to our hotel for a good night’s sleep.
DAY 2: All day Fishing and Departure
On the last day, after a filling breakfast, we’ll set out to a lake do some more fishing before you depart. Take a chance to reel in some more fish while basking in the morning hours on the Mekong Delta lake. Before you go, take in the fresh rural air and cast your rod in this tranquil fishing heaven.
Once we are done angling, Take our car transfer back to Ho Chi Minh city, bid farewell. See you on the next adventure!
