Pacu is a common name for several species of omnivorous freshwater serrasalmids native to South America, closely related to the piranha. Though they share similarities, pacu are primarily herbivores and are famously known for their human-like teeth. There are unfounded rumors that they have a tendency to bite men’s testicles, leading to their humorous nickname: “The Ball-Biting Fish.”
Our Pacu fishing spot is located on the outskirts of Hanoi, near Yen So Park. Surrounded by serene countryside, the lake is nestled among lush green trees and rice fields, offering a peaceful and scenic environment for fishing.
We guarantee that you will catch at least two Pacu fish during the trip, or we will refund 80% of the tour price.
Aside from Pacu, the lake is home to various other fish species such as tilapia, black carp, snakehead, catfish, grass carp, common carp, silver carp, and more.
You can enjoy bottom fishing to target the large Pacu, or for a thrilling challenge, catch black carp weighing up to 30kg using live snails as bait. You may also try your hand at lure fishing to catch snakehead fish with artificial frog lures.
Tour Itinerary:
- 8:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel by our driver.
- 8:30 AM: Arrive at the fishing lake, where our professional fishing guide, with over 8 years of experience, will assist you in finding the best fishing spots and techniques to catch the biggest fish.
- 8:45 AM: Settle down, cast your line, and enjoy a relaxing morning of fishing with a cup of coffee or a cold beer (included in the tour price).
- Try to land as many big fish as possible before lunch!
- 12:00 PM: Break for lunch at a lakeside restaurant.
- 1:00 PM: Return to the lake for an afternoon session, where you can target different fish species and test your fishing skills further.
- 3:00 PM: Our driver will pick you up and drive you back to your hotel.
- 4:00 PM: Arrive at your hotel in central Hanoi.
