Black Carp are found in a lot of freshwater fisheries in Vietnam and can be targeted with very basic tackle. These Black Carp grow to massive sizes and was once thought to be the biggest and hardest fighting freshwater species in the world.
The beautiful Red River fishing lake is located in the stunning area of Red River side and is surrounded by stunning golden paddy fields and trees.
Red River Lake has been packed full of incredible looking Black Carp. The owners have stocked over 200 Carp in this lake from 40lb – 80lb and that’s not to mention the original Carp that were present already.
There are two lakes for you to fish from, the first and main lake for big black carp is around 5 years old and only 500m2. The other lake is 20.000m2 with it only being 10 years old
Program :
We will pick you up from your hotel or Hanoi Airport and will be waiting to transfer you to the lake. This transfer is approximately 30 minutes.
When you have arrived at the lake you will be shown to your carp lake where you will spend all fishing day there
Our English speaking guide will show you around and this is your time to find out as much info as you can about the lake, the swim and what other facilities are on offer.
You are then free to set up and start your fishing.
We can also arrange for you to be taken to the local shop for you to buy your snack or other supplies.
Rice wine or 2 beer / pax are inclusive to warm you up on fishing
The fishing methods are very similar to Carp fishing but on a grander scale. The rigs are as basic as possible as to avoid tangles which result in lost fish.
You will be given top of the range rods and reels (1 rod and reel per person) to target the fish of your choice.
Simple lunch will be serverd in local retaurant with a few working steps from your lake
After your meal you will then be walked back to the lake & fishing until 15:00PM
At a prearranged time you will be transferred back to hanoi to hotel.
