Trau Quy

To be found in stunning countryside some four miles outside Hanoi and a short drive from the main road to the lake, Trau Quy is a most attractive and well stocked three acre rig-only loch holding good sized Black carp, Grass carp, River catfish, Normal carp and some big Piaractus.

A quiet and friendly family-owned fishery run by farmer, Trau Quy is a nice loch which was established in 2008 in the countryside near Hanoi

All carps which run from 10lbs to well into double figures, the loch is stocked every week.

The fishery record is held by a black carp which weighed in at a staggering 40lbs. Caught in November 2016, a cast of the fish now graces the anglers’ lodge… accompanied by other stunningly big fish which have been taken over the years.

Another view of Trau Quy Fishery Although the average size of fish is around 9lbs, larger specimens into double figures are regularly taken. However, the fishery requires that all fishes are returned.
